Here are some basic hints and tips from DreamSpring on using DreamConnect 3. Feel free to post your own hints and tips you may have discovered work well while using this great app.

Did you know you can do the following with DreamConnect 3?

* you can clear the Birthday field
* you can create multiple private or public notes
* you can Undo/Redo any text editing
* you can Undo/Redo any field additions/deletions
* you can Undo/Redo photo editing
* you can Undo/Redo contact deletions
* you can fast filter using characters within the title
* you can sort by First Name, Last Name, Company, Work Country and Home Country in any order
* you can create a new contact from All Views
* you can duplicate a contact from All Views
* you can have a photo displayed on the status bar in the Detail View
* you can use SmartFind to find contacts using any fields in different combinations
* you can use the Jogdial to go to Edit View from Detail View
* extended address and PO Box fields are available for editing in a new contact
* you can merge or Undo/Redo Merge Contact
* the list scrolling is faster and smoother than standard contacts

* you can display contact database information straight from the menu
* you can compress and validate the contact database
* you can set contact as an owner contact from list view and detail view
* you can set memory usage for Undo/Redo
* you can MMS, SMS, Email, Call and Goto Browser using Jogdial
* you can select and Copy individual text in the detail view
* you can copy a contact and paste it in the text editor (Quick Word, DocumentsToGo, Jotter)
* you can enjoy support for Flip Open/Close Mode with soft key and pen style on your P990
* you can use the existing contact database
* you can send SMS/MMS/Email/PCMail to any contacts with home/work/standard phone number/mobile number/email address

Unfortunately, the search fucntion is limited, isn't it??? IF you want to search a name that starts with a certain letter, it will bring ALL names with that letter. THIS is carzy... In my opinion, this is a serious bug/limitation in this software. Normally, we do a search on names just looking for only those starting by a certain letter. Bringing ALL names which have that letter it's NOT smart. There should be a built in option for that kind of search otherwise I prefere using the default contact software of my SE P1i. Do you know of any upgrades on this?
